Gite holidays offer you the freedom to explore whilst still enjoying the comforts of a real home. But finding a supermarket for provisions as you travel down can be a real hassle, and who wants to clean the gite at the end of the holiday when you are trying to pack up and go! Also, how do you know where are the best places to shop and which restaurants to book? If you have to bring your own linen and towels, there's less room for all those goodies you want to take back home!  

Our aim is to offer you everything you need to get your holiday off to good start & be able to relax the moment you arrive.  This is why we have created an all inclusive holiday package which includes many holiday extras as standard.  We also offer a range of optional services to make your holiday extra special.

'Le Coin Arboré' - All Inclusive Holiday Package

All of the following are included for holidays at the advertised standard tarif in high, mid or low season.

• LINEN & TOWELS:  All linen is provided, including English pillows (2 per person) & duvets for the cooler months of the year.  Linen is available for the baby cot on request, though most parents prefer to bring their own.  Bed linen is changed every 2 weeks or mid-way for a 3 week stay. All bathroom  towels (1 small & 1 large towel per person) & hand towels in the 2 WCs are provided plus a towel & 2 tea-towels for the kitchen.  We also supply pool towels for use around the pool or further afield at the beach etc.  There is a washing machine & clothes hanger in the bathroom & a washing line outside.

• FREE WELCOME PACK: To make sure our guests don't need to worry about shopping straightaway we provide a welcome pack as standard.  Local supermarkets are open every day including Sunday (9am - 11.45am).  The pack includes all the basics for breakfast - tea, coffee, milk, sugar, bread, croissants, butter & jam, plus kitchen towel, kitchen cloth & brush, washing up liquid, starter pack of dishwasher tabs, kitchen cleaner, polish, some toilet rolls, soap & shower gel.

• FREE WELCOME DINNER ON ARRIVAL: We provide a three-course buffet supper with wine or soft drinks on your first evening, so there's no need to worry about cooking or finding a restaurant. Vegetarian options available. Here is an example of a summer buffet menu.

  • Fresh melon with charcuterie (selection of cold meat)
  • Fresh quiche (with jambon de bayonne or smoked salmon) with a selection of salads & country bread
  • Chocolate Mocha Cake with cream

• BABY COT & PORTABLE HIGHCHAIR: Available for infants under 2 years old.

• OTHER: Electricity & water included in the price.  There is an electric fire in the salon, electric heater with towel rail in the bathroom & a small electric heater in each WC.  Gas for the barbeque is also provided. NOTE:  There is a small supplementary charge for central heating (radiators in bedrooms, salon, kitchen & hall) of €30 per week if required in low season.

• ON-SITE FACILITIES:

  • Lots of games, cards & books are provided inside.  French & English TV (free to view channels/radio), with 2 DVD players, CD player & portable CD player/radio. Wifi internet access available from 2010.

  • Free use of badminton & tennis rackets, soft beach ball game, snorkelling goggles, pétanque/boules set.  

  • Free use of two adult mountain bikes for use by adults over 21 only.

Optional Holiday Sevices

• HOLIDAY DINING ON-SITE:  If you fancy a night off from cooking but would prefer not to have to drive back from a restaurant, then take advantage of our holiday dining service.  We offer a seasonal four course holiday menu with wine for just €18 per person (with a choice of starter, main course, a cheese platter & choice of dessert), & can also offer a children's menu for just €12 per child for family groups of four to six.  Alternatively, if you want to indulge yourselves a little you can choose from our special menu at €22 which features some 'spécialitiés de la maison' & begins with apératifs.

• PINEAU & COGNAC TASTING ON-SITE: To get your evening off to a great start, why not try some regional specialities from different local producers; chilled red & white pineau des Charentes is an excellent apératif & in this region it's traditional to finish the meal with a cognac as a 'digestif'.  Just €7 a head (adults only).

• FREE RESTAURANT BOOKING SERVICE: If you'd like to try the regional cuisine, there are many excellent restaurants & auberges nearby.  We are happy to make recommendations & can also make bookings on your behalf.

• END-OF-STAY CLEANING SERVICE: At the end of your stay the gite needs to be cleaned & prepared for the next visitors.  Some people are happy to do this, but if you'd prefer us to do the cleaning for you, we provide this as an optional service. Current charges are as follows: 2 adults only €40, groups of up to four €50, groups of five or six €60.
